Mr. Park commenced his career in 1999, focusing on HR and business planning at Samsung Corning Corporation. He obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2006.
During his MBA program, he completed co-op assignments and internships at Coca-Cola Business Solutions and Citibank (Card Business) in the U.S. Afterward, he transitioned to a career in finance and joined Shinhan Bank in 2006, where he worked in the Business Planning Department and the Future Strategy Research Center of Shinhan Financial Group.
While at Shinhan Bank, he was involved in addressing significant issues of the day, including establishing banks and financial holding companies’ strategies and measures to the 2008 global financial crisis and the implementation of the Capital Markets Act in 2009, consulting projects aimed at formulating long-term growth strategies, green finance strategies, and the preparation and publication of a joint report with the Financial Supervisory Service.
To gain a deeper understanding and expertise in financial regulations and law, he went to law school and was licensed as a lawyer in 2015, and started working at a law firm named Lim, Chung & Suh in 2015, where he experienced various civil and criminal cases. In the same year, he moved to Jehyun Attorneys at Law, a law firm specializing in financial transactions, where, from 2016 to 2023, he worked with banks, financial investment companies, asset managers, credit institutions, savings banks, and power generation companies, among others, on domestic and international real estate project financing, renewable energy project financing, asset securitization, syndication and non-performing loan acquisition financing, and other financing matters, as well as various development projects and general corporate advice and accompanying transactions.
