On July 24, the "2024 7th KBIPA Web 3.0 Leaders Forum" was held at The White Vale, hosted by the Korea Blockchain Industry Promotion Association (Chairman Hyung Joo Kim).
The forum was attended by more than 60 participants, including KBIPA executives and employees, and members of associations and experts in various fields such as law, finance, and the blockchain industry.
Lee gave a keynote presentation on "Strategies for Responding to the Virtual Asset Users Protection Act," covering the domestic and international market conditions related to virtual assets, whether virtual assets are securities, concepts of important terms and penalty provisions of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act, their implications and response strategies.
In particular, the presentation was significant as it examined potential legal issues related to the regulation of unfair trade practices that may arise immediately after the enforcement of the Virtual Asset Users Protection Act and discussed preemptive response measures, and was well-received by the attendees.
