Prior to LIN, Attorney Sung Yong Chae represented domestic and foreign corporations and investors while working at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, advising on domestic and cross-border M&As, general corporate matters, shareholders disputes, corporate restructuring, and others. Then, he worked as the executive director of the investment division of an asset management company, where he formed both domestic and international funds and led a variety of transactions including buy-outs, pre-IPO financing, and venture capital deals. He also carried out the PMI (post-merger integration) process when he served as the executive vice president of the holding company ruling and managing the investment portfolio companies formed by M&As.

Attorney Chae is a seasoned attorney focusing his practice on various forms of financial investment such as private equity, venture capital, and M&A.  He routinely represents funds and other financial institutions with respect to all aspects of capital raising and the investment process such as fund formation, fund raising, investment execution, and eventual sale and works with companies to execute acquisitions, mergers, and spin-offs. Through his experience in investments and deep knowledge in the investment business, he is able to provide practical advice on the legal and business issues faced by his fund clients.
