LIN's David H. Yang participated in the 25th World Knowledge Forum (Incheon, Korea), where he conducted a fireside chat with Mauricio Macri, the former President of Argentina (2015- 2019).
The session featured an in-depth discussion on Argentina's recent economic reforms and foreign policy shift, which have garnered global attention. Macri compared these reforms to those under his own administration, and explored the challenges of implementing large-scale changes in a country often associated with populist politics. He emphasized that only meritocracy and pragmatic diplomacy can lead to long-term prosperity and self-realization. Additionally, Macri shared insights into the lessons that South Korea can learn from Argentina's historical economic rise and fall, and discussed investment opportunities for Korean companies in Argentina.
