In the 1st Annual Specialized Attorney Evaluation conducted jointly by the JoongAng Ilbo and the Korean In-house Counsel Association (“KICA”), Yong Gap Kim of our IP team (IP, Patent & Trademark) was named a “Best Lawyer.” Also, Dong Hwan Shin of the IP team (IP, Patent & Trademark) and Bo Mi Seo of the Finance team (VC & Venture) were named as “Rising Stars.” This acknowledgment reflects their expertise and skills, duly recognized by clients and industry insiders alike.
 
For this year’s attorney evaluation, the JoongAng Ilbo and KICA formed evaluation committees for 20 expertise areas. After three months of evaluation, they selected three “Best Lawyers” without ranking, and three “Rising Stars” who are gaining attention among lawyers with relatively few years of experience. 

The JoongAng Ilbo - KICA Attorney Evaluation was limited to the area of legal advice. As legal advice is an important service that directly affects the choices of each company, resulting in profit or loss, success or failure, we aimed to respond to the demand for transparent information sharing by combining the evaluation of clients who have entrusted their advisor needs with the evaluation of experts who have expertise in the field.

The JoongAng Ilbo - KICA Attorney Evaluation was conducted in a very objective and fair manner based on objective performance and the opinions of referees who have worked with the evaluated lawyers, making the selection of Lin lawyers as “Best Lawyers” and “Rising Star” even more meaningful.
