Law.com International, a global legal magazine, recently highlighted the active movement of talent in the field of international arbitration in the Korean legal market, and reported that on December 7, the firm welcomed Lance B. LEE, a leading international arbitration expert, as Head of its International Arbitration and Litigation Team and Partner.
Lance B. LEE, a member of the Washington, D.C. Bar, began his legal career in 1998 as a Judge Advocate and attorney in the U.S. Army, and in 2001 joined Kim & Chang, one of the largest law firms in Korea, where he served as a partner for more than a decade before becoming General Counsel of STX Group. Since 2012, Mr. Lee has been a partner and head of international arbitration at Dentons Lee, before settling down at Lin, a law firm that has recently attracted attention for its aggressive recruitment and explosive growth.
In addition to his expertise in international dispute resolution and cross-border litigation, Mr. Lee has been recognized by Asian Legal Business (ALB) as one of the "Top 50 Dispute Lawyers in Asia" in 2023, and also specializes in advising on general corporate, compliance, finance, international trade, and government regulatory matters.
The power of a law firm comes from its manpower. Given that international arbitration is a fast-growing field in the legal market and is similar to the convention industry in that it is connected not only to the legal market but also to hotels, services, and culture, we made the strategic decision to hire Mr. Lance B. LEE, a foreign lawyer with a strong reputation in international arbitration, as a team to strengthen in the future as we aim to become a global law firm.
In addition to its core practice areas of finance, TMT, and IP, Lin has achieved significant results in M&A, insolvency, antitrust, and entertainment this year, further solidifying its position as a generalist law firm, and is looking forward to a "quantum leap" in the coming year with the addition of international arbitration expert Lance B. Lee.
