Working across the two pillars of corporate law at Lin, M&A and finance, Mr. Kim has over eight years of experience at Kim & Chang and Lee & Lo and has also served as a prosecutor at the High Officials' Criminal Investigation Division. He has extensive experience advising domestic conglomerates and large PE firms on M&A, as well as structured finance, alternative investment, and large-scale project finance transactions, and is known for his aggressive negotiations and strategic advice.

In fact, he has represented a number of foreign PE firms such as Morgan Stanley, KKR, and Bain Capital, which are known for their high standards, in their domestic investments, and on the finance side, he has successfully advised on landmark cases such as the refinancing of the IFC Building, as well as a number of trillion-dollar projects such as the Guri-Pocheon Expressway, the Boryeong LNG terminal, and the light rail project in Seoul.

In addition to his existing financial and corporate advisory practice, Mr. Kim frequently participates in various financial litigation matters, including investor litigation, litigation between financial institutions, and PF-related litigation. Although there is some conception that a set formula of liability between the parties is becoming commonplace in court decisions in financial litigation, Mr. Kim's view is that a concrete and valid judgment should be issued based on the substance of each individual transaction, and he has actually achieved outstanding results in several cases.

After graduating from Seoul National University with a double major in psychology and economics, Mr. Kim joined global consumer goods company P&G, where he worked for nearly three years in Japan and Singapore, home to the company's Asian headquarters. Fluent in Japanese and English, Mr. Kim continued his education at the University of Chicago Law School while at Kim & Chang, where he earned his degree and was admitted to the bars of New York and Illinois.
