Legal Times has selected 19 Lawyers of the Year for 2022 in the major areas of Corporate and M&A, Finance, Labor and Employment, International Arbitration, Tax, Fair Trade, Construction and Real Estate, IP, and TMT, and highlighted their achievements and successes.
 
With more than 100 ongoing cases, Mr. Kim's average win rate is around 70%. When asked about the secret to his high win rate, he modestly said, "I'm lucky because I take on cases that I think have a chance," but he emphasized close communication with his clients and persuasive efforts with judges, prosecutors, and police officers who, in his words, hold the sword.
 
Mr. Kim is a former deputy prosecutor who served as the head of the International Cooperation Division of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, the head of the International Cooperation Division of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and the head of the Criminal Division of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office, and briefly worked at Kim & Chang. In February 2019, he became a solo practitioner in Seocho-dong and then joined LIN. He has been working on numerous cases of various kinds with the goal of becoming a “parent lawyer”.
