Attorney Young Hoon KIM graduated from Seoul National University School of Law, passed the 40th Judicial Examination and completed his judicial training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute (30th class). After serving as a military judicial officer in the army, he was appointed as a judge at the Seoul Central District Court on April 1, 2004,. Since then, he has served as a judge and presiding judge at various levels of courts, including the Seoul Family Court, Busan District Court, and Daegu District Court, as well as a judicial researcher at the Supreme Court of Korea, and as a general supervisor of human resources at the National Court Administration. Since February 2017, he served as a senior judge of the Seoul High Court until his retirement in February 2025.Throughout his approximately 21-year tenure in the judiciary, Kim handled diverse litigation cases, including civil, criminal, family, administrative, warrant issuance and motions. In particular, his experience as a judicial researcher at the Supreme Court provided him with a profound insight into appellate cases, complemented by extensive experience in appellate litigation as a senior judge at the Seoul High Court, and has ample experience in judicial administration work overseeing judicial personnel matters nationwide.
