While at Kim & Chang (2011-2020), Tae Joon BAE practiced corporate law, including antitrust, labor and employment, M&A, and compliance, and worked as a member of the Industry Team which was responsible for IT/TMT, alcohol, tobacco, designer goods, defense industry, and healthcare, for 10 years. At WeAdvise (2020-2022), he worked on startup investments, labor, and civil and criminal litigations, and served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). At Shin & Kim (2023-2024), he was a member of the ICT Group's New Industry Platform Team and worked with IT/TMT and platform companies.
 
He also worked as a seconded attorney for Diageo Korea, a global whiskey company, interned at the Office of International Affairs, Federal Trade Commission, DC Office, and served as an expert witness in a civil case in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.Bae has also gained an extensive international experience including by presenting on “A Legal Framework for Gig Economy Employees in Korea” at the LAWASIA Conference in Bengaluru, India in 2023.
Bae has a strong understanding of the internal work structure of public institutions through his work as an advisory lawyer for public institutions (Personal Information Protection Commission, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences) and as an outside director/auditor (Director of the Korean Bar Association, Director of the Seoul Sports Council). He has also served as a mentor for the Seoul National University Startup Support Group and a lecturer at the Yonsei University Startup Support Group; participated in the investment review of Seoul Techno Holdings, Inc.; and served as an auditor for Socar, and has participated in mentoring events, appeared on TV shows, contributed articles, and took part in discussions in relation to startups and platform companies. Based on these experiences, he has obtained a deep understanding of the ecosystems of new industries. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Young Lawyer Award by the Korean Bar Association in 2021.
