Jin Seok Lim (Managing Partner) Appointed as a Member of the Korea Exchange Corporate Review Committee

On December 10, 2024, Jin Seok Lim, Managing Partner of LIN, was appointed as a member of the Corporate Review Committee of the Korea Exchange (Dec. 10, 2024 - Dec. 9, 2026). The Korea Exchange is a consolidation of four organizations, including the Korea Stock Exchange, the Korea Futures Exchange, the KOSDAQ Committee, and the KOSDAQ Securities Market, to promote the formation of fair prices of securities and exchange-traded derivatives, and the stability and efficiency of related sales and other transactions. During his appointment, Lim will do his best to fairly and diligently perform his duties as a member of the Corporate Review Committee of the Korea Exchange in relation to the listing, disclosure and delisting of companies, thereby enhancing the soundness of the Korean capital market and contributing to the development of listed companies.

Seung Kwan Choi Appointed as Legal Advisor to Anyang City

On November 28, 2024, Seung Kwan Choi of LIN was appointed as a legal advisor to the City of Anyang (December 1, 2024 - November 30, 2026). During the two-year term of his appointment, Choi will provide legal advice on administrative actions, appeals, and administrative proceedings of the city or its mayor and subordinate agencies. In addition, he will provide counseling on various administrative, civil, criminal, or family-related legal matters related to the lives of residents of Anyang City, advise on various legal matters related to Anyang City, and handle civil and criminal cases related to the performance of official duties by public officials of the city.

Seo Yeon Ahn Appointed as a Member of TV Chosun and Yonhapnews TV's Viewers' Committee

On December 4, 2024, Seo Yeon Ahn of LIN was appointed as a member of the Viewers' Committee of TV Chosun and Yonhapnews TV. The Viewers' Committee, which is composed of representatives of viewers pursuant to Article 87 of the Broadcasting Act, may provide opinions on the content of broadcast programs and request corrections, and strives to improve the overall quality of broadcast programs while protecting the rights and interests of viewers by reflecting their opinions or requests for correction in broadcast production. As a member of the Viewers’ Committee of Yonhapnews TV, Ahn will faithfully carry out her duties by offering candid opinions and professional advice to improve broadcast quality and implement necessary corrections.

Sung June Park Appointed as Legal Advisor to Korea National Oil Corporation for 2025

On December 2, 2024, Sung June Park of LIN was appointed as legal advisor to the Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) for 2025 (Jan. 1, 2025 - Dec. 31, 2025). KNOC is a public corporation established in 1979 to secure stable petroleum resources, and has successfully developed the Donghae gas field, placing Korea among the top oil producers, and has continued to develop oil fields in 17 countries, including Korea, based on its exploration, development, and production technologies and know-how acquired over the past 40 years. As legal advisor to KNOC, , Park will work to ensure that all employees of KNOC practice 'safe and responsible management' to prevent accidents, and will do his best to help the company grow as a global model while being trusted by the people by firmly protecting the past, present, and future of Korean energy.

Woohyuk Sky Ju, U.S. Attorney, Appointed as Legal Advisor for Overseas Affairs of Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (including matters related to its Washington DC corporation in the U.S. and employee immigration)

On October 15, 2024, U.S. Attorney Woohyuk Sky Ju of LIN was appointed as legal advisor for overseas affairs (including matters related to its Washington DC corporation in the U.S. and employee immigration) of Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (KSURE). Established in July 1992 in accordance with the Trade Insurance Act, K-SURE is a trade and investment insurance organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy that implements systems including trade insurance, overseas investment insurance, and credit guarantees to fulfill its purpose of strengthening national competitiveness by promoting trade and overseas investment. By advising K-SURE on its overseas affairs, including those related to its Washington DC corporation and the immigration of its employees, Ju will work diligently to help the organization develop various trade insurance products and value-added services in order to actively respond to the changing global trade environment and contribute to the promotion of Korean exports, and furthermore contribute to the facilitation of global trade.

Woohyuk Sky Ju, U.S. Attorney, Appointed as Legal Advisor for Overseas Affairs of National Intelligence Service (NIS)

U.S. Attorney Woohyuk Sky Ju of LIN has been appointed as legal advisor for overseas affairs of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), effective December 2024. The NIS is a pivotal intelligence organization that defends Korea's security and national interests on the front lines of security, economic, and technological warfare. Ju, as legal advisor for overseas affairs of the NIS, will do his best to help the agency become a strong and trusted first-class intelligence organization that conducts intelligence operations on North Korea and international affairs, counterterrorism and counterintelligence, and security investigations, and proactively responds to emerging security threats such as cyber, economic, and space domains, as well as international crimes and industrial technology leakage.

Dong Hwan Shin Appointed as Digital Forensic Advisor to the National Police Agency

Dong Hwan Shin of LIN was appointed as a digital forensic advisor to the National Police Agency on November 22, 2024 (November 22, 2024 - November 21, 2026). The digital forensic advisory system was implemented in 2018 to ensure the reliability and fairness of forensic evidence analysis, and the advisors are divided into various fields, including technology, law, and human rights, and provide advice to the National Police Agency on how to improve the fairness and reliability of digital evidence analysis procedures. During his two-year term as a digital forensics advisor to the National Police Agency, Shin will do his best to help the agency establish and develop various systems and policies based on more advanced expertise by suggesting ways to protect human rights related to digital forensic, conducting legal review of court testimonies of analysts, and providing legal advice.

Min Gu Kang Appointed as Non-Executive Director of Wonju Future Industry Promotion Agency

On December 17, 2024, Min Gu Kang of LIN was appointed as a non-executive director of the Wonju Future Industry Promotion Agency (Dec. 17, 2024 - Dec. 16, 2026). The Wonju Future Industry Promotion Agency is a foundation established to promote technological innovation in Wonju's future industries and to comprehensively and systematically promote high-tech industries and local flagship industries. Accordingly, while the organization has been working tirelessly to provide technical support to companies such as various semiconductor material companies, secondary battery companies, and digital healthcare companies in Wonju, Kang will actively investigate and study the best practices of other local governments’ promotion agencies to introduce their strengths with his extensive knowledge and experience in the industry, research, academia, and legal fields related to future industries. In addition, he will not only take over and carry out the projects that the organization is already promoting, but will also work diligently to help Wonju's future industries develop to the next level.

Min Gu Kang Appointed as Auditor of the Wonju Cultural Foundation

On December 31, 2024, Min Gu Kang of LIN was appointed as an auditor of the Wonju Cultural Foundation (January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2026). The Wonju Cultural Foundation was established to promote local culture and support cultural and artistic activities in response to new cultural and artistic environment changes and to improve the quality of life of Wonju residents, and Kang will work to help the organization realize cultural diversity by establishing a system for revitalizing community-based cultural activities. In addition, he will strive to help the Wonju Cultural Foundation realize the social value of culture through the provision of cultural facilities and spaces centered on residential areas, and build a local cultural and artistic ecosystem to enhance the city’s competitiveness based on culture and art. Above all, he will do his best to help the institution grow faster as an innovation-seeking organization through innovative operations and ESG management centered on human rights, ethics, cultural diversity, and customers.
