LIN has recently strengthened its financial team by recruiting attorney Hae Kyung Sung (33^rd class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), who has been handling M&A transactions of financial companies.
 

 
Sung joined LIN on May 25 and is currently providing M&A advisory services. After beginning his M&A advisory career at Kim & Chang in 2004, he moved to Hyundai Card, Hyundai Capital, and Hyundai Commercial to serve as the legal director in early 2017, and then joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2020.
 
In 2014, while at Kim & Chang, Sung helped advise on the KKR-Affinity OB Beer acquisition (KRW 6.1712 trillion) and was ranked No. 1 in the Rising Stars (lawyers with 10 years of experience or less) category selected by Market Insight. He also advised on high-profile transactions such as NH Financial Holding Company's acquisition of Woori Investment & Securities and Woori Financial Savings Bank, which was widely recognized as a “mega-deal,” and has since been recognized for his outstanding performance in the field of financial institutions’ M&As and financial regulation related to authorizations and permit.
 
LIN is accelerating its recruitment of attorneys who are expected to play pivotal roles, including Sung, to enhance its financial and M&A advisory services. Following the addition of Jae Yeon Lim (13th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute) from Yulchon, who is known as an expert in capital markets law, last year, and Sang Man Kim (20^th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), a financial expert from Shin & Kim, LIN is continuing its aggressive expansion and is expected to play a crucial role in resolving financial disputes this year as well.
